Recording Studio Traps

Corner mondo traps at Recording Studio London are nice because they fit right in the corner; they take up very little space; and yet you get your maximum absorption.
Ethan: The mondo traps, the corner mondos are great because they look like they’re only one inch thick. Mark, I don’t know if you can zoom in on that, but it looks almost like a micro trap. It’s a very thin frame, but the frame telescopes behind the front.

Doug: It’s actually four inches thick.

Ethan: And it’s four inches thick; it’s a real traps membrane bass trap. So, it’s very, very effective at very low frequencies. We also have a real traps planter bass trap, and that’s an important corner also. It’s a tri corner where the two wells come together. Corners are very, very important, and this ceiling is very thick fiberglass, so the fiberglass that sits above the fabric handles the ceiling corners all the way around the room. But the front and back wall are very important.
